Re: Self-indulgent training di
10 miles today - the first 4 of it off-road through Reddish Vale. From miles 5 to 8 it was all pretty much uphill (Did about 700' of climbing in those miles)
7:26
8:05 (15:31)
8:16 (23:47)
7:21 (31:09)
7:12 (38:21) uphill
7:32 (45:53) uphill
7:25 (1:00.29) uphill
6:44 (1:07.13)
7:05 (1:14.18)
Was going to do 12 miles but got a really bad blister on the inside of my right foot and couldn't run on any further.
Re: Self-indulgent training di
3 x 2000m in training yesterday - Did it on grass round the outside of the track, taking in what's meant to be a ski slope! Jarred my back coming down the slope on the first one and was in agony by the 3rd effort.
7:28
7:31
7:59
Was crap, wet and windy too! Miserable night
Re: Self-indulgent training di
I'm going to end this thread here I think; it's served its purpose and got me running again (although injured at moment!).
Got to the stage where I'm grumpy if I'm not running so don't really need it to motivate me anymore! May re-visit it if I'm struggling in the future!
Thanks to all those who posted in the thread.

No probs mate - had the best part of a month off myself as been busy with work and the family so will probably start posting again on here for a few weeks.
Re: Self-indulgent training di
Ha! I re-visited this as I started this thread when our first lad was born and the second is imminent. I've gone backwards since April 2009 and definitely less fit and fatter than I was then.
Time to resurrect this thread I think. Again, more to shame me in getting out running again than to provoke any discussion but feel free to add any comments!
