A few years ago Mrs Marvin and I went to Val d'Isere for two whole weeks. It snowed the night we arrived, and we had no more, but the temperature stayed so low (in the -20C to -25C) range that the snow stayed in perfect condition the whole time. A bit chilly though!
Snow in the Colne Valley! Its building up to a good covering. Drawbridge up, fire on Whisky opened!
M6 is about 4inches deep from Tebay services (probably further north as well) down to just befoire the Lancs border.
Abit dodgy but good fun.:D
Didn't amount to much at all here last night in the end and only light flurries today so far.
This much only up on Chevin this morning:
I went to Grassington to do some xmas shopping, via Greenhow Hill of course, and it was a white out. I use snow tyres so it has to be deeper than 6" to stop me on hills but it was a fantastic drive and a great opportunity to practice car control, it's not about avoiding situations and conditions but learning to deal with them.
Simister Island going onto the M60 was rammed, took me 5 hours to get home from the lakes
