Where can I get some 'small water'?

It's on the supermarket shelf next to the short minutes :w00t:
I'm looking forward to Sunday now, although Trig to be honest I think I prefer a plague of locusts to a gel, I never can stomach gels, whereas you can't beat a locust butty!! Sort if for us, there's a good chap :o)
Knowing Hebden Bridge there'll definitely be someone selling organic locusts - will nip down later
In the meantime the 1st lady trophy has arrived by post today.....

Ooohhh I like that trophy, is mine the same??
Close enough, that'll do!
Especially if it's horizontal?
No wonder it fell down!
If you really want to now why the old church fell down, and where excatly king david or slyvia plaithe are buried Hepstonstall Museum is opening especially for race day
Lots more nice photos and fascinating stuff about Heptonstall on; http://heptonstall.org/
Are race maps available at registration?
Just looked in the calendar for a race - thought I'd come over from North Wales to do this tomorrow and had a look to see if there's a thread about it - good grief I'd be up all night reading this lot! :w00t:
And hi Trig! My trig point's bigger than yours!!!
I won't be there, but I've got an excuse - see Injuries section!
Okay… The pub is stocked with Copper Dragon, The cakes and soup are all ready to roll, the starting banner is up on the cobbles, the relevant parts of the 15 mile route are flagged (in the pissing rain) and the Marquee is up in the finishing field http://flic.kr/s/aHsjzb4qLp
All we need now are a few hundred idiots prepared to go through 15 miles of hell to finish on the stairway to Heaven or Heptonstall as we know it : - )
We're all getting very excited here!!
Trig envy?
Don't worry about the thread -its all on the web site www.heptonstallfellrace.org.uk -fantastic to hear you might be making the big journey (IT WILL BE WORTH IT!) the sun is going to shine tomorrow, and all is looking good out there tonight (about 20 of us have just spent he entire day flagging, setting up marquees and changing tents, and sorrting out enough free food for how ever many turn up) we're looking forward to seeing you for a big Yorkshire day out!
Noticed a few guys from Derby and further afield have turned up having done Lads Leap, and are camping in the parking fields.
See you tomorrow!
Spring is definitley here - we had to flag through a field of new born lambs - farmer is OK as long as we all stick to the flagged route - remind me to warn everyone tomorrow!
Everyone av a good un, sorry i won't be there, not enough brownie points in the bank and it's Mother's Day, and i've been out for the best part of the day.
One day i'll make it out on a recce with the enthusiastic RO that is Trig.
Best Wishes all and enjoy:thumbup:
Fantastic weather for it which made for cracking views. Well done to all, great for me sat out in the sun! Full set on Sportsunday, mostly in colour!

Cracking photos Ady!
Well done to all, what a crackin day for it.
I was (marshalling) at Shackleton Knoll, and you ate all my 1Kg of jelly babies you greedy gets!
Thanks to everyone who helped to organise the race today - it was obvious it must have taken a lot of effort to flag the course and sort out the food etc. The route was very enjoyable but a little tougher than I thought it would be - especially the last climb!
Appreciated the jelly babies Clive especially as I was on the wrong side of the road last week at the Hobble! Gave me just enough to get back to the bottom of the last climb although my legs still had the hobble in them so a real struggle up that hill.
Great race, perfect weather and the food afterwards was a real treat. Well done Trig and the rest of the team.
I think I may have a new favourite fell race. What a wonderful route, what great weather, and what yummy flapjack! Many many thanks to all concerned. (especially Clive for the jelly babies).
Really enjoyed the run today - bit slower than last year. I'm using the Hobble as my excuse! If I hadn't spent nearly 7 hours getting round that I'd have had a bit more in the tank today. Thanks to Trig and everyone else for putting on such a good event.
Totally agree, what a event. Can really see how much effort has been put into everything by everyone involved. Knew it was a tough route after doing one of the many reeces, add in the sunshine and i was toast at the end! Top run by jedi master-3rd man back. Defo one for next years diary.
Well done Trig and all the helpers, marshalls etc. Don't think today could've been any better.
Really enjoyed that. Tough enough though - I'll be walking like John Wayne for a couple of days! Thanks to all involved including the Rev for putting a word into the Big Lad upstairs for the weather. :D
Cracking race. Just what i needed at this time of year. Great weather. Thanks to Trig and all is helpers.
Can anyone remember what the Rev's text was? I know it was Hebrews but I can't seem to find the verse.
Great course, and one that seems to punch above its weight: no Big Name hills, but gruelling enough for me.
Steve Merrylegs' description of Trig as an 'enthusiastic' RO is absolutely right. He was at the heart of an incredible local effort to make the Heptonstall race memorable. I don't think I've ever seen more members of a village community galvanised into support for a fell run. Everyone was pleasant and encouraging and couldn't do enough to help. Well done, all.
Cheers. One to go with psalm 18 v 33 for fell running inspiration.
Unsure of results but this was the leader by over 6 mins just past Walshaw Dean causeway - pretty sure it is Chris Birchall from Leeds AC

What a mega race, well done Steve & all your band of merry men & women! Brews & cakes at the start, cakes & soup at the finish, not to mention the marvelous Scotts 1816, life doesn't get much better! And to cap it all I managed to keep it all down too!
Big thanks to the Rev too, nice inspiring words, & he was handing out the flapjacks at the end.......couldn't turn my water into wine though the lightweight ;)
And thanks also to all the helpers, marshalls, fell rescue etc, i tried to say cheers as I passed so if I missed you, apologies!
Finished about 4 minutes slower than last year but it looks like the race may have been slower so I'll take it as an improvement anyhow!!
See you next year, although I still think the last climb should have a chairlift!!!
Edit, good pics from Ady too, cheers for the words of encouragement
Thanks for all the thanks! I know its not like me to miss the opportunity for a few posts, but just taking one of my marshals out for a well earnt meal (my mum!!)
Was so chuffed you all turned up and enjoyed it!
The comments about about the community/marshals were spot on (it was a big team effort)
Hoping to get the results up tonight!
