Nice blog post, Steve, with some good links. One I particularly liked.
I've just brought mine a little more up to date with a Cracken Edge race report. I have all this fell racing to thank for a new turn of speed. (Link should be below.)
It's been a while but here's my bit about my glorious comeback... (ho, ho)

Cheers for that Stolly.
Good to see the outer isles especially. Lots of familiar places remembered with fondness.
There's more: http://mrsparkleversuslife.blogspot....-drops-of.html
Just browsed your blog Stolly. It's a great chronicle for yourselves and an inspiring read / view for the rest of us.
Looks as though you fell on your feet with the weather in Scotland. I really haven't spent enough time up there, but a couple motorcycling tours up there a few years ago made me realise what a gem the place is when the weather is good.
The BG support pics are getting me inspired again. Need to start upping the climbing.
Keep up the good work with the blog and I look forward to reading the reports of your successful Round in A week or two.
Good luck mate.
Porridge and Headtorcher!
The 4 Lakeland Passes on Saturday and the Edale Skyline on Sunday. A cracking weekend in fact :)
A massive misquote but yeah :)
