Spot the fell runners in the Daily Mail today!
Anyone know who they are?
Glad to see they are running in shorts, and I think one is wearing a OMM Classic Marathon 25l backpack :p
We have had a few inches of snow overnight here. I dug my car out and got my daughter to Rochdale train station this morning but decided to return home as I had my work's laptop on me and work from home.
I dont mind being a wimp when its work thats involved :D:D:D
Most snow I've seen in six winters I've been up here. Do I have a run along the Dales Way to Bolton Abbey or a trot up Beamsley Beacon and over to Round Hill? :)
ARGGGGGHHHHH I have cabin fever  College shut, sent home before I even got there, sons school shut, got back just in time for his taxi pulling up so can't get out again....FFS. Been off since the 18th there is only so much cooking a cleaning a girl can do, in fact there's nothing left to clean :(
BORED
bored, bored, bored,bored,bored,bored
bored,bored,bored,bored,bored,bored
stupid snow. well not the snow really is it?? The lack of GRIT
On this page, about 1/2 way down >>> http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ches-snow.html
Thought it could have been our lovely Luvshack on saturday over Kinder, I was dressed for an artic expedition and some guy came trudging towards me with his dog and a short sleeved top on carrying his coat  mind you I think he was still under the New Years influence!!
Just seen a Rochdale Council gritter actually gritting a road with the snow plough on!!
I'd Started to think these gritter things were imaginary but I've seen it with my very own eyes, and i've not touched the Horlicks this morning so I couldn't have imagined it! :D
Emm you are demonstrating the huge gulf that exists between women from men with your unbelievable whinging about being stuck at home. Whilst you are bored because you can't get to work and have run out of cleaning and cooking to do, I am dumbfoundedly bored here at work. If I was off work, I wouldn't for the life of me think of cleaning or cooking but would be spoilt for choice of fun things to do. I could....
Go for a run in the snowy mountains
Watch any number of DVD's on the TV
Play a video game
Read a book
Go sledging and build a snowman with my younger daughter who's at home because her school's shut
Watch some of her backlog of relatively trashy recorded TV with her (I'm now really into Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road but draw the line at Eastenders and America's Next Top Model)
Browse the forum (admittedly I can do that at work too :))
Clear snow - not that much fun to be honest but miles, miles more fun than working
Get a grip Emmi - its people like you that are letting the (mainly male lounge about) population of the UK down ;)
Sent home from work, with pay, at 10:30.
2.25 mile journey. Sod it, if the car couldn't make it, it's only a 20 minute stroll
Result!:D chance for a few hours with the kids!
Soon as my spam, egg and mushroom sarnie has settled i'm off out in it, might even run a bit:eek:
What the bloody hell is 'In the Night Garden' all about??? Does somebody actually get paid for scripting such nonsense!!!!
Anyway, it's snowing here:cool:
Woo hoo!!!!
It's snowing here finally! :D
I tell you this for free.:D....you cant half descend as some speed when the snows deep.
Anyway....that was abit randon.:D
View from my window, not a macca pacca in sight:cool:
About 6" covering at the minute and still coming down.
Just done 90 minutes up and down the hills great to be out.
Sat here now with a sore knee wrapped in a big bag of SNOW:D
Great morning out:)
Good 15cm fallen so far, starting to ease but school shut, so can't complain too much....:D
