Been for a run this morning from snake pass across to Edale. The going is very tough, lots of standing water and plenty of mud. Don't think it's going to change much before next Friday. Hoping we get a good clear night.
Clear or not, there won't be any moonlight to help.
We normally get to the Snake at around dusk and are normally very close to the lead at that point. From then on it's more runnable and other teams pull away.
I see we're starting just behind you so should see each other a bit.
Looking forwards to it. Sounds like it will be worst conditions for a few years..
those flags on the way to Mill Hill, were in fact more like a river on Saturday morning.. wet feet all around !!!!
Team Lazy Pie Eaters has had another drop out :-( I think it was an overcooked meat and 'taty pie that dropped on his foot.
Anyway - I have a last minute place available. *** No longer available - got a replacement sorted :-)
If anymore get injured the team will be like my Grandad's old brush (60 years he had it. Had to change the head and handle a few times mind, but it lasted sixty years :)

More news from Gloop land....although temps on Outer Egde this morning (7.00am) were just above 0 the warm morning means that gloop is getting more gloopy. Having met some folk from Glossop - the old norse being Gloopsop - meaning gloopy like land...on Bleaklow we agreed that the going on early hours of Saturday will be VERY gloopy indeed! I hear www.Racekit.co.uk have some outer wear that might be helpful in such conditions!!! Be seeing you up there Saturday....possibly...
