Well......
perhaps it's a good thing....
No, it's the best thing...

I'm in !! :D and believe me my time was way over 4.30 last time I did it in 2004.
Must be my good times at Holme Moss,Three Peaks,Mourne Peaks that clinched it :D then again probably not:o
When I'm slogging my way up Great Gable I'll probably regret being accepted :(
Apparently 500 qualifying entries were in by the Tuesday so I was just too late!
If anyone out there has got in and finds out they can't make it I'd be more than happy to take their number (and the pain of Dale Head :D) off their hands (feet!)
Any one got accepted for the Borrowdale Race and cannot do it for any reason would like to substitute there place. I have done the race for the last 3 years and completed all the lakeland classic races in 2006 2007 and would like to complete them all again this year, but have not been succesful in getting in.
That seems a bit harsh for someone who's supported the Classics Trophy. Hope you get in........I'm sure someone'll have a place up for grabs.
I agree.
Only 12 runners did all 6 races last year and 8 in 2006.
It is so tough (DV, Ennerdale and Wasdale + the other 3!) we have always given a mug to the highest scorer and in 2008 will do the same for women.
Please, please, please, please, please!
I'm desperate for a Borrowdale place (my application was about 20 envelopes too late!!) so if anyone has a number and knows that they won't be able to do it, I would be eternally grateful to have it (and it'll save you lots of pain and exhaustion too!!)
Ideally I'd like to find out sooner rather than later so I can get some appropriately long training runs in before August - not many weeks to go now to fit them in!
yours hopefully and thanks in advance!
You could always do the training anyway, and then if you don't get a number just pop up the day before and run it?
Might even be a nicer run...
I suspect I probably will end up doing that (though I'd rather save my legs for a few races planned in July if I know I can't do Borrowdale anyway...).... it also needs a bit of planning in advance - it's a 600 mile round trip from here so needs transport sorted and grandparents about to help with the kids!
