Re: Edale Skyline 29th March 2
Can anyone advise whether to wear Trail shoes or would you recommend Fell shoes currently training for 3 Peaks in the helly hansen trailcutters.
Re: Edale Skyline 29th March 2
See you all Sunday morning. As usual I'll be the nervous looking 40 something bloke in the black and orange Milton Keynes vest; there won't be any others. Feel free to say hello.
Cheers - Raymond

Tough break Matt oops! sorry didn't mean that. Hope you can run and it's not as bad as you think.
If you can't race you can always marshal. Andy and Dave would be glad of the help.

Trail shoes would prob be fine and actually would be better than fell for most of the route, which is similar to 3 pks surface. There is a boggy bit around brown knoll but on balance a trail shoe is prob the way to go.

A slight understatement! Tie your shoelaces tight and take a lifebelt...
Mind you, it was pretty dry up there last weekend so we may avoid the worst excesses this year.
I'll be wearing trail-ish shoes (La Sportiv) since there's a steep downhill bit on road in the middle.

I'm slightly nervous about this race - its my first of the year (the high peak marathon doesn't count as my team were just aiming to finish rather than 'racing' per se :)) and quite possibly its my first race since the Fairfield Horseshoe last May where I haven't got a useable 'recovering from injury' excuse to justify a possible poor performance .
Pressure. On.

You seem to be spending a lot of time in the Dark Peak. Are you planning to emigrate from Settleshire?
Re: Edale Skyline 29th March 2
:) No thats me done for the year.... probably. I only go there when I can see (and wallow in) the bogs at their best ;)
