7m/1000ft home from work, saw some curlews and hares and imagined my dog was with me, 3 weeks from now she'll be clear for walks, be a nice warm down after a run to go for a pleasant pooch poddle:)
Just started again after 2 months off. Last week
Mon - 6m easy with club along river
Wed - hill session on Helm, total 4m, 700ft, slow , v hard
Fri - 2mls easy
Sat - Bendrigg 10k 53.28, so tired but enjoyed being in a race at last & good workout.
Probably a bit much first week but so good running again. Foot more uncomfortable than painful now so improving slowly.

Club night on the Helm, steady run to ridge then reps. 1min, 2min, 3min, 4min, 4min, 3min, 2min, 1min, all trying to hold a sustained pace. Good session, lovely evening. creeping back to fitness.

Oh if life was so simple, i suffer from Achilles tendon bursitis, so if i run on say a Monday, its Thursday before i can run again, well i can run but the pain is well not nice!
So as part of my 2 year plan i have to substitute the running and get wet. hence the swimming 200 lengths a week
But this weekend in true Amex style i am running the midsummer madness 3 races 3 days not much i know, as in distance or height, but it will hurt.
Why i hear you cry, as Mrs amex says you daft bugger why hurt yourself---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fell running gives me things in life that i just cannot find anywhere else
and before any body else say it there is no weight in water :p
Thanks mate, sorry to hear that but at least you have a plan! And the swimming should give you an Ian Thorpe type body, maybe...
