Well done Splatcher. You fair scorched off from the start. I thought you might blow up in the heat but you managed better than many. I don't know about you but I reckon the heat added half an hour to my time. They said it topped out at 31 deg C to make the hottest in 28 years. It was the highest ever no-show and drop-out rate; there were 199 finishers out of 385 entrants. I drank over 3 litres in the 5hrs 17mins I was out there. It was fun though. I never grow tired of the Derbyshire dales and their steep downs and ups. :w00t: Daz, 86 points for me please.

My events for this month are Osmotherley Phoenix (done), White Peak Walk (done), Gravy 6, Goyt's Moss, Lakeland 100.

As I feared, the gods were not smiling on me for Holme Moss last Sunday, confirming that I'm crap in really hot weather, although it seems I should be thankful I hadn't attempted Wasdale. Karl Gray also turned up to break the course record, so not a sniff of improving that Cragg Vale score on both counts!

Don't think there'll be anything else in July, particularly as the cramp that hit both calves on Sunday doesn't seem to be showing any sign of leaving them just yet! :thunbdown:

Please can I change my current score for July? I obviously run better when it isn't quite so hot! Last night's Cock Howe and Beyond Fell race - Jim Bulman won it in 38.14 & I came in in 52.08. Think that's 64 points for me please. :)

I have a score for July. Tonight's Sheldon Fell Race (tad warm and that hill!!!!!). Winner 24.30 me 41.55 so that 29 points please.
Still feel a bit sick from the heat. One of my club mates poured water over my head at the top of the climb. That was sooooo needed.

85 for me please Daz for July, from the Cock Howe race on the Yorkshire Moors ( a great race in my opinion for anyone considering it in future ). Winner 38:12 me 44: 02, cheers

My attempt at improving on my Saunders score - Snowdon: Andi Jones 01:08 .... Me 02:20 = 6 points :o

equaled my best points of the year so far with 54 at Macc Forest, followed by a remarkably consistent 53 at Great Hucklow
will be interesting to see how many points I score at Old Crown Round - no idea how that will go...

It is a great shame but work has got in the way of lots of races so far this year and I will not be entering any further races until around April 2014 as I have to go away for 7 months with work. Such a shame as I had quite a promising start too!
