Forgot to say, on my first trail race, the excellent Belvoir Challenge marathon (which is on this Saturday btw) I also made the novice numpT mistake of expecting there to be a 'Finish Line' and wandered around for a minute until I dawdled into the hall. Had to ask the guy who was about to gazump me for a place if he wouldn't mind awfully doing the decent thing :D :D which he kinda did. Good job, as I never beat him again.
Looking forward to my first Stride since 2014, hope I can remember the route! It's the Pipers Gate bit I usually get wrong.
I hope to be there as well Will, but not sure if I've got in. I was a bit slack applying - hopefully a number will arrive. It's not too hard round Pipers gate. You drop down from the forestry on a fair path and keep left of the wall to the moor edge and then turn right and head for the Swastika stone. There is a checkpoint at Pipers gste and the position can be a bit variable so don't miss it.
First time at this. I understand it starts at the back of Argos, but does anyone know...is argos where the registration is or is registration at the school? Looking forward to it.
Registration is at St Oswald's School in Guiseley. The race starts across the road from the retail park which includes Argos.
I'll hopefully be up on the moors having a trot & will give you a cheer Will! Possibly by Horncliffe Well. There's a natural spring here for anybody needing a drink!

I remember that well! Also worth mentioning that the 2nd Baildon Moor checkpoint has changed since 2014, now back along the Shipley Glen road and not next to the cattle grid. Of course everyone who has read their route details, or who ran last year will know this! :)
Yes I remember when the Piper's Gate checkpoint was wrong and there was an out and back! I usually get a bit lost anyway when descending to the checkpoint and end up in the long grass near the wall!
