40mins in hotel gym. Usual mix of treadmill, bike and stepper
A steady half hour run today, legs feeling last nights race.
A long time ago for running and found it really effective on top of a really solid endurance base.... Tending at the moment to do my morning easy paced run with the dogs (6mile/1000ft) and then tagging the Tabata on the end of that on the playing fields across from my house. Then, I'll get out on the bike in the evening (mixing up road and mtb) for 60-90 minutes trying to get at least 1 solid 20-30 minutes "Sweet Spot" higher zone 3-lower zone 4 effort. Weekend is an easy paced 90-120 minutes run on one day and then a 120-180 hilly bike on the other. Mid September I'll start bringing in some Brick work.
Snuck down to gym for 40minutes again tonight. Managed three sessions plus 500squats whilst I've been away :)
7 miles and 2500ft over the hills on Howden Edge. loads of flies about. but it felt good to be in the hills again and whooped down the descent to the car.
Actually pulled my finger out and panned in my new Bobby Dazzler trainers over 16 miles in 2 hours to John o'Gaunt's Castle. A rather hot day.
I really smiled when I read your post IanDarkPeak! Having had 5 weeks of no running I also "whooped" down my first descent in ages and boy, did it feel good to be back!!
(despite the flies and the ginormous "ant things" that were making a horrendous buzzing noise and flying directly at me!!)
In fact, it was nearly as good as the first post run "vino collapso" which never tastes as good as when you have done some training!!
5.5m up over Norland Moor with pooch then a 3m walk with pooch and daughter:)
Substituted running for 2k Row, 17k on Bike and 1k swim yesterday.
