Did anyone else get caught out by the sharpish start? I was fumbling about in my bumbag thinking we had five minutes to go when the gun went off. Looked behind me and I was in last place! Managed to make up some places on the road but once on the path it's hard to pass people.

Had they run out of the proper stuff?? :)

Used to be Ben Nevis whiskey and now its Nevis Dew does anyone know the difference (other than name & spelling)?

Ben Nevis is a single malt, whereas Nevis Dew is a blend, so they're giving you the cheap stuff now ! Please guys get it right - it's always whisky up here, never whiskey :wink:

Any word on route change for next year from anyone? I've heard a suggestion that we might be going directly up behind the start field and round the back to Halfway Lochan? If so I'm wondering if we will be able to take a more direct line from there or continue to the Red Burn and the existing route from there.

Theres still nothing about a route change on the race website, (other than a request not to use the grassy bank in training and a suggestion that its continued use might be under discussion). Without wanting to pester the busy organisers has anyone heard anything? I might actually prefer the alternative but it would be nice to know as I'll be up there from next week.
