Is there anyone out there still hoping to get an entry into this year Snowdon race? I am injured (just had operation to both feet) and will therefore not be running and would be happy to assist anyone in transferring my entry (providing the organisers are also happy with this).
I love this race! Roll on next Saturday, always a good atomsphere in LLanberris and a pint pot in Pete eats :-)
Has to be my fav race of all the races I have done or photographed (a great day out all round) - got a couple of races to try and fit in before next week injury has limited my racing over the last few weeks - see ya all next Saturday
I've done Snowdon once before, in 2008, when I was a lot less fit, and the weather was hot/humid - I really suffered and don't think I appreciated it properly
decided to enter again this year just cos I wanted to get my "revenge" on the course
but now find myself genuinely looking forward to it
look out for my fluo-green Fell Ponies vest if you're likely to clock somewhere in the range 1:50-2:00
wheres your money going ? mines on a " roadrunner "
Am tempted to go up on Saturday to look at that rock that bit me 2 years ago. The weather looks as if it'll be good so should be millions of tourists up there getting in the way. Found a short video clip of the great John Lenihan, winner in 1989, reaching the summit - not so many folk around then and look at the way they crossed the railway line just before the train came up. It's about a minute into the video here:

Hmmh - facinating clip......looked a hot day aswell, as you said these days there's millions of people on the 'outdoor zoo' on days where the weather is good. Interestingly I was watching the race video from 1991 the other eve - again very few people en-route and the track is so much better - horrendous weather up top that year mind you.
Im aiming to do 1-50 daz so will look out for you, ill be wearing green and white denbigh harriers top.
Welsh harrier can you point out the rock that bit you?, quite a nasty tumble you had so wanna avoid that one :)
