Recce of the first half today. Lots of snow drifts and near freezing snow melt; gorgeous!
I think that this year will be extremely boggy, even by trog standards, the whole moor looked so much wetter than I remember and most of the paths are streams instead.
Bring back the sheet ice!

I drove past the Cock Hill road crossing earlier today. Even from inside a car it was apparent that the obvious shoe choice is a pair of flippers.

Just going through checklist for kit and just have a queery on one item. Pants! I have the Inov-8 mistlite 130's, but these don't have taped seams, would these still be classed as waterproof or do I need to get a pair of pants with taped seams? (before I order some with).

Blimey thats taking kit demands a bit far having to have waterproof pants but then I suppose on a long race it will reduce the need to take comfort breaks along the way.Quote:
