8 miles 1300' in local hills. Quite a few runners out today as usually I am on my own up there. A few looked to be recceing leg 5 of the Pennine Bridleway.
Nipped round the Cannock Chase Trig Point race this morning bringing weekends total to 37 mile 6500ft.
Good week: 100km+ (not much climb and not very adventurous mind), 4 separate running partners, Ashes series sewn up, 70% through my Lit review with 3+ weeks left and heart rate gradually dropping after Christmas/New Year.
Only bad points being my ceiling developing a leak and, at the moment, City trying to loose in the Cup. Hopefully the latter will change!
A cheeky 11, taking in Black Hill up the old PW and back home. Still plenty of snow and ice up top.
I agree Rob. It was very windy yesterday, but I didn't feel cold at all despite a very steady pace !
Nice mid afternoon trip - Greenfield, Plantation, Stable Stones Brow ascent, Chew Res, Duck Stones, Fox Stone and descent to Doves Res - watched the drama unfold as OMRT carried someone off the hill below Duck Stones - back home via Waterside Mill - great day out there, very icy from Stable Stones to Chew Res, hope the person being carried off was not too badly injured!
Great Hameldon Fell race route + a few hill reps 6 - 7ish miles 1100+ ft, very, very wet in places - lovely!
A very wet and cool 45 minutes on Ilkley Moor with a headtorch and cag for company.
Feel a lot better for it. :D
a wild night race in the Winter series. 6.70miles with 1300ft climbing, 48.40, not my best by a long shot but huge improvement on 2 weeks ago. Very wet and Windy
