two fantastic runs today, not fast but the weather wow!. this mornings was 5 miles up on to Howden Edge not a cloud in the sky, crystal clear. Then back home for some lunch.
second run was about 4.5 miles from Langsett that finished in the dark. lovely moon.
Thats two courses set out ready for Sunday
Finished work at 2. Set off from Saltaire up to Shipley Glen, Golcar Farm & onto Bingley Moor. Back home via Baildon Moor. 9 miles. As Ian has said, what a beautiful day ! A "glad to be alive & running in the hills" day.
Fantastic weather on the frozen fells - did 38kms over Bowland yesterday

A very cold and frosty hour on Ilkley Moor, ground iron hard now.
Bugger, it was the right way round when I attached it!
Greenfield- Binn Green - Ashway Stone - Dovestones Edge - Fox Stone - back home via the cottages. Tricky going underfoot up top, frozen solid n' lots of ice patches about. Fantastic crimson sunset out west, nice views overlooking M/cr and WinterHill mast twinkling away in the distance. Nice night to be out there, not another soul in sight :)
5m, cardingmill canter route, could have pushed a bit harder. At least i know for the race in a couple of weeks!
A shuffle round the Mickleden Straddle route from the iron/blue gates car park. 12.77 miles & 2600 feet up and down in 2:33. Happy with that as I have shingles! Nice to see Brent again. Saw one or two having a recce. Why can't large parties of walkers agree on a side of the track to walk on when they see someone coming the other way? It was like playing skittles in gooutdoors showroom!
14.5 miles recce of Rombalds stride. 3500ft ascent :) more than I expected, should be knocking on the door of 4000ft for the full course.
edit - I suspect the figures may be a little out though
