Feet in the clouds - The film?
While flipping through the local whats on guide, I noticed an article advertising Joss's book - nothing unusual about that, However there was also an interesting reference to a new film currently in production about fell running, built around the book Feet in the clouds. Apparently both Joss and Pete Bland both get appearances.
Anyone else heard about this, or was the writer of the article just getting carried away?

Re: Feet in the clouds - The f
I don't know what the state of play is with this now but the idea was banded about over 18 months ago to turn it into a film. A while back I had some tea with a well known top notch ex-champion legend of a runner who told me that he was approached by some guy who asked if he could bring this actor to get some ideas and tips in order to play him in the film (presumably he would be filmed running over the fells).
This runner said "well you'll have to come when the weather is really bad or otherwise i need to get on with me work!!
Apparently, they didn't bother coming.
If you ask me, this would be the death of fell running as we used to know it when we were all from an outdoors/mountaineering background and race fields were small. It will glamourise it too much.

I'm sure I heard someone come back from the Bob Graham meal mention it as well.

London based film-maker Kate Sinclair is in Berlin shopping Feet In The Clouds a screenplay, which she wrote, based on the award winning novel of the same name by journalist Richard Askwith.
Sinclair's production company, Feet Films, has also signed up Loader to be exec producer on feature film "Feet in the Clouds." She is co-producing with Nicola Shindler from Manchester-based Red Productions in association with Boomerang Plus.

Perhaps they should film Studmarks instead.

I shouldn't worry. Kes didn't lead to a load of Kestrels being kidnapped, did it?
Most people will probably see it and say what da fu...
And who's to say anyone will go see it?
