Juniors at Pendle Fell Race
Does anyone know what distances are going to be on offer?
Thinking of seeing if my six year old is interested in having a go. I vaguely remember that the shortest race was just a lap of the field that the seniors finish in.
Any ideas?

Yeah, big thanks for that Kath, really constructive.
I was hoping not to bother David if someone helpful could answer the question for me.
Thanks Felljunior; the FRA guidance pretty much answers my question

Re: Juniors at Pendle Fell Rac
I thought the was a very constructive message about emailing the organiser and getting the information from him that you wanted!! I did, he replied and was extremly helpful.
I think you owe Martin's miss's an apology for being soooooooooooo rude.

In that case I think you'll find that no-one will be willing to offer you any help whatsoever. Get of your arse and and find it out for yourself

Round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows!
Easy Tiger, think you're taking it all a bit too seriously now. Don't be getting all lathered up over a bit of forum banter; how will you cope in the real world?;)

Quick back paddle as hard as you can and chuck out an insult or two just to throw folk of the scent. Nice try

Not sure yet; all the usual muppets seem to have turned up instead and we aren't really getting anywhere.
FellJunior helpfully pointed out that the limit is 0.5 mile anyway, which i know he should be fine with. I'm probably going to take him along and show him the course; see if he fancies it. It's all EOD and i'll probably be doing a bit of marshalling for the older kids races anyway.

Re: Juniors at Pendle Fell Rac
My kids ran it last year the youngest was 6 at the time: assuming it is still the same, U8 was one lap of the field, fairly stiff climb up, run down, splash through a small stream then tuck into the excellent goodie bag and free hot dog. Very enjoyable junior races, we will hopefully be going again this year.

Re: Juniors at Pendle Fell Rac
In summary:
a) We have confirmed that David Bailey is a very helpful organiser, who has continually developed his excellent junior races over the last few years.
b) We now know where to find the FRA Rules for Competition.
c) TT only achieved his 'Master' status by using the forum to conduct private conversations, instead of PM or email. :D (Couldn't resist, TT)
Can I emphasise again that AW Wa! is on-line entry only, no EOD.
Please pass this info on.
