Good stuff, used to be a good local burn-up.
wheres this go?
Don't worry, Cath Hignett is in charge so there will be plenty of tape and flags!
Only noticed this when the forum was down  Spent time looking at the front page!!
Anyone else going? Think I'll head over and have a trot round.....:)
Ooo - this is tempting. Trip down memory lane. It was my first fell race back in 1986 or 87
I was up there today Em close to the route, trying to
kickstart the leg muscles after a marathon Wasdale
recce on Thursday, and it was nice and soggy so
conditions should be ideal for tomorrow :D
While I was up there I took a picture of a local putting in a late season
appearance so say hello to him/her as you pass.
Oh and that reminds me of what I'm having for tea tonight
Not running it but there's a slight chance I may pop up with the kids to cheer you all on. Anyone know the route?
My thanks to Tony and his team for putting the race on. The route had dried out quite a bit from yesterday so was fast today. The last short steep climb took me and a few others by surprise a bit though.
The big news is Emma was first lady (she is far too modest to announce this herself :) ) and got her prize in front of a proud mum :D
Well done Em!!:D
Didn't manage to get up there today. Anyone got the route so I can go and take a look later? Ta.:)
WOOP WOOP for Emmi!!!!:D :D :D
Aye Well Done Emma - in fact it was a Fell ponies 1st & 2nd in the ladies category with Mrs Crumblydown not far behind.
Is the cast off Manhar
Cast off on Wednesday Turbo. How long were you out there yesterday ?
3:13.50 but only spent 1 46 running. I had an hour sat on a rock navigating and then got hypothermia on Garnedd ugain another 15 minutes
Hoorah for Emmi, well done! :D
Thanks Guys *blushes* Alf, I was keeping it a secret ;)
Thanks to all the team for a great race, never done this before as it last ran when I was a mere slip of a lass  lots of marshalls, it was very well run and organised
Loved to route, bit of everything for everyone, I'm glad that tussocky stretch had those flags though, could have seen me going very wrong if they hadn't been there.
Oh, yes and Alf, thanks to you again for LYING!!!! You definately said Whittle pike was the last climb...how on earth could forget that other massive one??
Good to see familiar (and not so familiar) faces and yes, mum had a grand day out! :D
Met Emmi for the first time today, well done on your win, you goda come back next year and defend your title.

Also new course records today - as new route!
Really enjoyable race many thanks to the organisers on a very efficiently run event- the race itself had a bit of everything so hopefully next years event will see a bigger turn out - but it was nice to running near the end under no pressure!
