Thanks Tanky.
Is there a date for 2007 yet - Dec 2 / Dec 9?? ... Seems to have dropped out of the calendar again ...
Just to let you know, I spoke with Tanky the other week. Yes, it should be first weekend in December. Last I hear he was going to wait until the summer(such as it is!) was over before getting updates and info online.
The entry list is finally up at the link below
Entry list
I'm in and can see one or two other Forumites...
Going out for a Recce on Tuesday and Thursday if any one is interested.
Ian, you beat me to it - was going to post re Tanky's today! I see that I'm in - or at least I think it's me: my name seems to have acquired some extra letters at the end.... :D
I take it we'll be getting numbers through the post any day now. Hoping that this weekend's Pendle run will pay off as training. See you there.
oh looks like im in as well
just need a guide to help me round :o
Piece of cake Daz;) .
There's an even bigger bog monster on Kinder though:D :D :D !

Rudolph Hooker?
Grouse?
Any others want to own up?
Never mind the crossings!
I always think crawling up the steps into Edale behind the Nags, when both your thighs are spasming with cramp, is always a bit demoralising - especially when you're getting passed by mothers with toddlers asking "What's the matter with that old man, mummy" - "I think he's just been celebrating, darling, come on..."
So what number on the list are you Rudolph? Spill the beans!:D
I think I have sussed who you are Rudi. Will you tell me if I am right?
Eh?   :D
Just to say that I've received my number + info in the post this morning. 51 - which is how old I'll feel after the race! :D
(Sorry for the ageism!)
You know, as soon as I'd hit the submit button I knew I'd be in trouble from certain members of the forum.....:(
Mind you, couldn't resist stirring things up! :p
Swoop - you positively flew past me on the climbs at TOP. Wish I was your age!
Got my number this morning too.
See you all in marsden (and hopefully edale too)
ive been told on good authority rudolph hooker knows a way through the secret marshes:rolleyes: up on bleakeylow
I wish I was Swoop's age ... And just think, if doing Tankies could really make me feel as young as 51 - that would be wonderful!
Must write down ... vaseline: green jar, wintergreen: red jar ... or was it?
I'm on the list but no number yet ,the only one from sunny Bingley
I'm in there too - as a raider from cumbria :D
Can't wait mmm.... peat bog!
Kat
So... Rudolph... you're not REALLY 34 then???:D :D :D
Groughs!!!
Is that him in his avatar??? He looks like he's been around the block a few times:D :D :D
It looks possible to do the Gravy Pud during Tanky's.
All you need to do is run over from Marsden (9am start) to Crowden, pop down to Tintwistle (about 2.5 miles down the valley), do the Pud (11am start) and then rejoin Tanky's route at Torside or at the Snake Inn.
It adds no more than 10 miles and 1100ft, and the timings look about right for the faster runners to get over to the Snake Inn before the 1:30/45 cut-off. Anyone fancy giving it a go? Think of it as a race within a race - Tanky's Gravy Pud Trog.
Yes, I'm in too - unfortunately shin splints not cleared up to allow any training...
Had to ring Tanky today and pull out. Tried to substitute but all the checkpoint lists etc done and too complicated/confusing.
Still, will do the support for a pal who's running and try again next year...
I love that idea Marvin. I am thinking about it. Might make the climb up to Seal Stones even more fun than it usually is.
