Very well done especially since the weather was not too good on Sunday!

Yeah, ditto.
We saw another attempt set off at 9:00 am Sunday morning as we had a cup of coffee outside "LUNCH" in Keswick. Does anyone know how they did?

Well done.
It's strange where & when you meet people isn't it? I was recceing leg 1 on Friday night / Saturday morning. Running off Skiddaw towards Hare Crag at 1.20am, I saw a torch light ahead. Turned out to be Ali tucked up in his sleeping bag showing the way onto the trod! He told me there was a small cairn marking the fork in the trod a bit further down. Bugger! I still missed it & ended going to the left of Hare Crag! Soon spotted my mistake & only wasted a couple of minutes I suppose. Can you come and hold my hand in June, please, Ali?
Well done Duncan, great effort.
Ali, that would be fantastic it you fancy doing that. I'll keep you in touch with our plans.
ST - thanks for the offer. We should be ok, but if anyone drops out I'll definitely take you up on the offer. With all the recces you've done, you should be able to find your way with your eyes closed! Likewise, if you're stuck the week after, just give us a shout.

Thanks for all the congratulations - it was the weather and the army of support that made it -bringing it back a day meant we were on dry rock all day -apart from the clag on Legs 2 and some of Leg 3 conditions were perfect. The idea of having a light on the Hare Crag trod was because last year we had gone wrong off Skiddaw and ended up south of Hare Crag in knee deep heather -I never really recovered from that and gave up at Honister way over schedule.
I'm not a number I'm a free man
well done on a great effort. After our Dragons Back, I have more insight into what it takes to do these 'big' challenges. Respect to all.
