Just caught up with the news that Nicky is going for the Lakeland Peaks record this weekend. She's aiming to raise the existing 62 peak record to 63 and the weather forecast suggests that she's picked the right weekend.
Now this could be a run worth watching - is there any of her support team going to be posting on here?

It hasn't been mention before as Nicky was aiming to keep it low key, Plenty of folk on here are on support duty. I'm sure one or two can keep it updated. Nicky has been out most weekends sorting out the route.Quote:

I'm not privvy to that information but this page http://ww.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/index.php?page=24hour lists all the tops that meet the criteria so get a map and figure out which tops are easiest to add to the list provided by DT. :rolleyes:Quote:

a bit mad that many don't appear on the men's record, and aren't admissable to it.
Maybe Nicky will unify the lists ?
That would be a significant difference....
Base Brown has around 38m reascent and is a significant dog leg. Compare that to Coomb Height (back of Skiddaw) which is an extra top to men's records. It has a few metres reascent and it demands hardly any additional time to get to it. The fact is that whoever establishes a new record can choose any hills to include in it. It is up to others to better it by adding (any) more hills. ydtQuote:
