Overweight to Raceweight goal
Following the mild interest in last years "Overweight confessions thread" I suggets this time we change it a little.
Lets see who can drop their weight to meet their prefered race weight.
State your Current weight at time of your first post and your Goal Raceweight.
We will try to colate it in to a table and monitor progress probably twice a month.
Stagger 180lb(12st-12lb) Goal Raceweight 162lb(11st-8lb) Hope to achieve before end of May 2012

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
And for those of us who don't race?
Anyway current 172lbs, would be happy with anything from 170lbs-180lbs with less bodyfat. Going to do the calculations tomorrow for some exact numbers. Ideal weight, and % bodyfat may take longer than a year to reach. So i'll be happy with anywhere in that region as long as % bodyfat decreases.

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g

want to get down to 12'8 by end of Feb
and 12'4 by mid-May...

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
I'm currently 69.5kg and would like to be 66kg by mid march. I feel like i'm starving most of the time already so if anyone knows how I can achieve this goal please enlighten me! (Currently running between 10-12hrs a week)

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Age plays a part Dew Claw Lassalle, as you get older your metabolism slows down so the exercise exerted vs calories consumed reduces. Age is a cruel adversary....
Alas, there is hope... the simple equation still holds holds true... expend more calories than you consume = weight loss.
Buggered if I know how to actually do that though???

I lose weight by stopping eating cheese. I guess it depends how much you eat to start with. :)

Amazing innit: you look at the calories on those tubs of supermarket fresh soups ('serves 2') and even if you eat the whole lot, you're only looking at about 300 cals.
And you'll be FULL after that. Half of one and a bit of bread would still be less than 300.

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
12st 12lb!! Highest I've been for a while! Tho I may have added some muscle over winter!? Would like 12st by end of April. Tho I'd love 11st 7lb as my race weight by June, I've struggled in recent years to get close.

Sorry but I can't do this in kilo's, without first rewiring my brain, and in any event kilo's are too big anyway. I'm 167 pounds aiming for 161 in old money. That's 75.91 kg to 73.18 kg or a massive drop of 2.73 kg.... which is barely worth doing :)
