It's a classic Stagger! You run a bit, cycle a bit, jump off your bike and find you have legs like bambi, then run the same loop that you started with again. The run loop is 4 miles, the bike is about 23ish(?). Starts and finishes from a pub!
And all around the dales.

As dominion says! All on the road, on the bits round the bike course you may possibly have the added bonus of dodgy sheep, dealing with some rain but definately a good finish. 3.8 mile loop for the run, 23 miles for the bike. Field used for transition bits. We also have a sheltered registration (the gazeebo died in the wind last year) and showers/toilets thanks to the Local Cave Club!

Re: Helwith Bridge Duathlon
Entries now coming in. Forgot to add, all profits going to MS Society post paying the British Red Cross, Yorkshire Sub Terrain Society and prizes!

Re: Helwith Bridge Duathlon
fancy having a go at this but never done one before. do you get changed from running gear to cycling gear and vice versa in the transition field? just thinking about decency etc whilst changing into a skinsuit?

all you nead to change is your shoes/ helmet/ glasss/ run with your gloves on , pick your most comfortable cycle shorts for running in , that's it just keep it simple

Re: Helwith Bridge Duathlon
My entry went off today! :D
How about a buff as a memento? We did that for our club race this year, only snag (I think) is you have to buy 1,000 ... wasn't too expensive though.

Re: Helwith Bridge Duathlon
33 entries now and MS Society have come up trumps with 12 T Shirts for prizes :D on top of the usual prizes. This is because of the generosity of all those who have donated to my cause raising so far over £2500 for them

I'll lend you one mate. A race belt that is, but if you want to wear suspenders for this event I'd be the last to try and stop you .... ;)
