We've all heard the usual swimming with dolphins etc. But what about a Bucket List from a fell runner's perspective?
I'll go first...
- Bivi on a mountainside, preferably on me tod.
- Marshal in a fell race, preferably on Pike o' Blisco
Any more...?

Sorry mine are not fell running related but they might resonate:
- Cycle from Lhasa to Kathmandu next year.
- Complete Trans Rockies mountain bike race (even if it means listening to 29er apostles all day).
- Front row tickets for Dita Von Tease' next UK tour.
Maybe the last one was a bit unrealistic; not sure my heart is strong enough to cope these days ;-)
- Make GUB STFU ;)
- Terra Australis MTB stage race
- Trans Andes MTB stage race
- Cycle from Llhasa to Kathmandu
But firstly this weekend: complete a MTB 24 hour endurance race...
OK, also not running related, but after injuries to ankle and knee, I can no longer run... so I practice fell cycling in stead ;)
Alot of them aren't fell running I'm afraid:
1 year cycle touring trip - RTW/Americas
Speights Coast to Coast
Tour Divide
Trans Alp/Trans Rockies
Devises to Westminister Kayak Race
Ironman
3 Peaks Yacht Race/Scottish Island Peaks
Bob Graham
I have often though about this, and tried to narrow it down to 10 things that i'd like to do that are fairly realistic, not in any order....
1) Run sub 3 hours at Sierre - Zinal - Maybe not realistic but i must keep trying!
2) Run UTMB
3) Run Western States 100
4) Spend a month cycle touring around France
5) Win a fell race
6) Climb Cenotaph Corner
7) Climb an 8000m peak that isn't Everest
8) Bob Graham round in the only logical way, solo and unsupported
9) Spend a whole summer running mountain races in Europe
10) Spend a whole summer running mountain races in the US
One can only dream..........
Some really interesting ones already!
Sorry, I meant not necessarily fell running related, but just from a fell runner/outdoor lover's point of view.
Kilimanjaro - a group of us were originally going to do this about 27 years ago but it fell through.
Kili is on my list as well :)
Post on a bucket list thread
But seriously...
Win a fell race (in my category)

How long before the invitations from race organisers start coming in? ;)
I'll settle for getting running properly again.
Finish the Lakeland 100 with a smile on my face, settle for a grimace, after that I may find a bucket to kick.
Bivvi on a mountainside on yer tod sounds like a dam good idea:thumbup:
Bob Graham next year, providing I miss the bucket I'm kicking after L100.
Finish in the top half of a fell race.
Complete a UTMB that I've started.
Get back into Western States for that elusive sub-27.
Complete a Bob Graham? That's a step too far.
What's a bucket list?
A list of things to do before you kick the bucket Nick......I think.
You've got a BG in you I reckon Nick:wink:
1. Complete my Paddy Buckley
2. Complete My Ramsay
3. Return to racing to complete the Lakeland classics
4. Get back to 5min 30 mile reps - for 26 miles
5. Everest Marathon
6. Run in the Alps
7. Have helped people achieve at least 3 succesful rounds per year every year
8. Have a full week running and wild camping in the highlands
9. run in a few more countries and get me of f the unlucky 13
10. Win another race - cant do the same on as it is no longer held
I would also like to take my wife to visit some of the place I used to live in India, Africa, Brazil.
Will try and delay the bucket kicking for a long time so I can fit it all in.
Run/yomp LEJOG
Get round Wicken Hill on Friday in less than 33 minutes would be nice
- Get over mid life crisis and tear up bucket list
- see above
I have added one, to the top of the bucket list: ride the Great Divide, then race it a year later... It may just happen this year, if things go to plan :D
Need to find someone to look after the cat for a couple of months or so though, as this is going to take 4-6 weeks :-o
Backpack and trog Land's End to John O'Groats. It will happen..... :)
We've just had the obligatory whip round to buy a few syndicate tickets lottery. I reckon this should be a good way of spending the first couple of months after winning a 10 million share of the 100 million jackpot?
He doesn't think much of the route round my neck of the woods!
My bucket isnt big enough to put my list in it.
