BG Charity Attempt 20/7/2012
Hi I'm attempting the clockwise route for charity at 18:00 on Friday the 20th I would like to complete it in 24h but the main aim is to get round so I can collect the sponsorship, (although it would be a bonus). All are welcome I have all my nav's in place (so far ) but left the pacer's to who ever wants to come along for the day out, so why not join us in aid of Prostate Cancer more the merrier . :D If you would like to sponsor me you can do so though Virginmoneygiving then put mark estienne
Re: BG Charity Attempt 20/7/20
Hi, hope to join you on Friday evening. I've been preparing for a BGR but may have to reconsider my plans as I'm having a biopsy on my prostate tomorrow. Reading your post this morning seemed slightly spooky but I will be there if I can, partly in support of your efforts and selfishly because I haven't checked out leg one properly yet. Hope to see you Friday and all the best if I don't.
Cheers Richard.

Sent a PM to you s-t-n. I'd be happy to do leg one for you.
Re: BG Charity Attempt 20/7/20
Any news on how s-t-n went on?
Re: BG Charity Attempt 20/7/20
I was supporting another attempt and the last I saw of him was at Wasdale. He started 1 hour ahead of Simon A and left Wasdale a few minutes after him. Didn't see him at Honister which I left about 30 minutes after Simon who finished in 22:33.
Re: BG Charity Attempt 20/7/20
Hi all eventually finished my round over 24 hours, from the time sheets I was 1 hour 54 min over but hey I got round and that was the goal. at the end of leg 3 my Quads were shot apparently I looked like I had drunk 10 pints lager on the way down Scafell.from that point on I realized I just had to do the coarse to get the sponsorship.Thank you all for your help, a humbling experience and also shows what you can do if you have to.

Re: BG Charity Attempt 20/7/20
Well done Mark supreme effort that. My quads were trashed by trying to keep up with you and honey coming off Skiddaw and Blencathra.
Re: BG Charity Attempt 20/7/20
Hey what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger. Honey the dog is recovering better than me and as Arnie said "I'll be back" Next attempt will be on 25/5/2013 will be making plenty of practice trips up to the lakes just need my shins to recover at the moment.

Sometimes its harder to succeed like this than actually hitting the time I'd reckon. Absolutely maximum respect! Where do I send my donation!?
