"Fellraisers" by fellephant
This is what felly says about his latest production...
This is my latest fell running film called Fellraisers. Its been filmed in 1080 HD.
The inspiration for this film came directly from injury. My thought during injury was to make a film which represented the way I felt during that period. Notably the speed in which races come and go when I cant be in them.
The footage was filmed in 2012\2013 over the period of a year in Wales and England. I think I had two days where it didn't rain during filming. It was a nightmare, but ultimately worth it because of the type of footage I acquired.
The race footage in the film comes from y Moelwyn, Ovenden, Barbondale, Great Lakes, Scafell Pike, Great Whernside, Foel Fras, Walsh Two Lads, Paddy's Pole, Crowhill Reverse, Blisco Dash, Borrowdale and Belmont Winter Hill.
So here it is, an off the wall take on fell running accompanied by my own music.
I hope in some way you like the film.
felly.

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
I love Fellephant films.
Usually.
This one didn't really do anything for me.
I'd love to watch it at normal speed, though.

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
Brilliant Mr Fellephant, watched it 3 times now and I can't get that bloody tune out of my head. Completely different from any fellrunning film out there, good job mate.

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
really like this, thanks fellephant, would be interested in seeing a list of the races you include. I've spotted one fellow Glossopdale Harrier!

I've edited my original post at the start of this thread and included felly's description of his latest production.
Here's part of the description...

A good fun film fellephant, spotted my van parking at great lakes and a club mate at blisco wish my legs would go that fast!

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
awesome film, fellephant. Just watched a couple of your other films as well. really great cinematography (if that's the right word!), and your music is ACE

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
I imagine myself floating uphill like that before the race. Just need to make it a reality now.
Especially like the sped up footage of the race starts (especially Great Lakes as it was such a big field) - looks like a school of fish or a cloud of sparrows!
Another excellent Fellephant production!

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
Watched it a few more times and love the music. Chuffed that I'm in it too, hanging about outside Pete Bland's store at Borrowdale

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
Brilliant. Put it in for the Turner Prize.

Thanks for the comments folks.
I'm going to be sticking something on my blog within the week or so regarding the film, plus a version of the film on my Vimeo channel. This should have better sound and picture quality. The link to Vimeo will be embedded on my blog.
Mark L, I'll be sticking a real time film on later in the year. It should be more up your street ;-)

Brilliant.
Presumably it'll be twice as long as well. Bonus.

It will be a longer film Mark, but will not contain any of the footage from this film. Something new.
Unike my other films (I film on my own as a rule) it will have quite a few people helping with the filming. Three years worth of filming at Winter Hill fell race put into one project.

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
Love this film. Sums up the fell running scene in under 10 minutes. Is the name coincidence with Salomon's new Fellraiser shoe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeimjHMO9Ps

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
Great video - thanks fellephant!

Re: "Fellraisers" by fellephan
Thanks for the replies folks.
Mick W. Yes the name of the film is a complete coincidence. I didn't have a scooby doo that Solomon made such a product.
Here is my Vimeo version of the film which has better sound and picture quality..........for those of you who are interested.
