Really pissing me off that Salomon are not doing size 12's in the Sense or the new Fellcross.
Wouldn't mind trying a pair! :)
Can anyone tell someone, who is too lazy to Google, why S-Lab versions are about a million quid?
Have you tried them on? I have just had a try before I buy session of ordering and returning sense mantra's from wiggle. they do free delivery and return so doesn't cost anything.
I have pretty long feet, currently running in 12.5 speedcross's - although on reflection I may have got these too big. Anyway I found the mantra's quite big, and the 11.5's are fine (ended up buying then from blackleaf.com who had a sale plus I found a 10% discount code, oh and free postage as well).
On this basis I am now thinking of getting some 11.5 fellcross's (might have to sneak these into the house under the cover of darkness else the missus will go ballistic - she has me pegged as the Imelda Marcosof fell running but I insist that there are many worse than me and my habit is only in its infancy!
They are developed by top runners so they'll make you super awesome  worth every penny...
Quite funny really - they market them as being experimental / prototype stuff - so you are effectively paying THEM over the odds to be their guinea pigs. Shouldn't they be giving them away?
Mark, I thought you'd gone over to Inov8 for your fell running. Change of heart?
I tried the Fellcross on from Pete Blands, I wear Speedcross and take a 7.5. The Fellcross were narrower than the Speedcross and tighter. Also the tongue was high and quite uncomfortable. I sent them back. Speedcross I wear straight from the box, no chance with the Fellcross. Sticking with Sportiva Crosslite for an agressive shoe choice, Speedcross for comfort.

Do you mean this or is there a newer version...Picture or link?

I tried on the red one.
Look forward to the v2 then. The one thing I would change on the v1 is a more agressive tread.
I tried Martin, soley based on the amount of people wearing them my thinking being if its good for them it will do for me but have gone back to Salomon where I will firmly stay.
Mudclaw grip is amazing, Talons amazing grip and as light as a pair of slippers but they just dont seem to suit my feet, all of my current niggles started maybe coincidenatlly when I started trying inov8, and since I have gone back to wearing Fellcross and Sense Ultra the problems are diminishing again. I know some poo poo Salomon quality and claim that they are over expensive but over 750 miles in my FC1s and still going strong, im looking forward to getting some FC2s anyway even if they do cost a "million" quid and are "experimental" !! ;-)
Coming from a motorsport background where a set of tyres would cost me nigh on £200 and last 45 mins, hundreds of miles and hours of fun for a £120 pair of racing shoes is cracking value in my book.
I'm only poking a bit of fun  Must admit I do a fair bit of walking and general pottering in Salomon trail shoes and I've always found them to be comfortable and last a long time - so probably worth the money, especially if you can get them on special offer.
Have done some running in XA Pros but quickly realised these are a pretty pointless shoe, basically a road shoe with off road styling, b*gger all grip on mud, and particularly lethal on wet rock. I do quite like the look of some of these Fellcross and Fellraiser thingies though, good to see Salomon are starting to catch on to the sort of sole designs that are useful to UK fell runners.
