Aye-up Gang!
Anyone fancy a cracking race over Weets hill (Barnoldswick) this coming Wednesday evening?

Fair bit of climbing in it but no better way to spend a mid-week evening! :cool:

We'll hopefully be at this one as it's not too far from where we live. I'm off to Dublin very early the next morning so it will be pushing it to fit everything in but fingers crossed we'll be there.

Yes, holiday. Sun, sand and all that. Planning on doing some running, the villa is 4 miles up a bloody great hill from the beach so will make a good training run 2 or 3 times each week.
Just a quick word regarding the race. There will be no junior races as advertised in some places. We have had them in previous years but had little support possibly because its a mid-week race so decided not to have them this year.
I'm hoping to come.
I'll be there as long as i don't get lost en-route!!

Really good turnout last night...about double on last year....Thanks gang. And what was amazing was that BigO not only managed to find the park but also (just about :rolleyes: !) got there on time :eek: Mind, I'm sure you hung back for second place BigO cos you wanted Mark to show you the route!
It wasn't so much the finding the place as getting there - Lancashire has got some seriously SLOOOOW drivers. Mark won with a little to spare but it was a good tussle - if only i had his climbing ability, he NEVER walks, it's just not right!!
A good race so thanks to Kev and all his helpers and it was great to see everyone too:)

Definitely 1800ft. Its been GPSed. There is a new start and finish this year which does away with that nasty culvert. Registration is the same though.
3-4 min walk to start. 7.30pm start not 6.30pm as advertised somewhere.

Brilliant race this. Third time I've done it. Brought my novice mate along and he creamed me. Good for him! Keep hoping I'll get better and I suppose I do; a minute at a time, but does it count with the new start?
Am I right in thinking this is a particularly hard race?
