Yep I fully agree with that!
Can I start it off and ask if anyone is able to give me a lift to the Yorkshireman Marathon on Sept 9th from Leeds?

Great idea, it came to my mind noticing all of the cars (mine included) at a recent fell race. If anyone wants a lift from North East to the Yorkshireman, offer is there.
I'm travelling from Preston - going M65 route - 7 seats in my car!!!:D
open to bribes!

Another enviromentally aware fellrunner using a sensible vehicle to transport themselves from A-B:rolleyes:
[quote=emmilou;62178]18 year old mini long since repaid it manufacturing debt to the environment, smaller stell body panels (all still availiable) far less plastic and electonic pcbs than the modern day marvels, i could go on but i do not feel the need to justify my choice of transport to anybody unlike some:)
I assumed you refer to the classic mini as there is no other:eek:
[quote=JohnK;62190]no I was referring to my super duper new mini!!!:p
i had a classic nearly killed myself in it - no not through reckless driving don't get me wrong I LOVE the classic minis but after a near fatal experience I'm happy with the sparkly new one!:D
i wasn't having a dig I was merely pointing out that owning both a 7 seater diesel and a new mini it's the new mini that is causing more of a scurge on the planet not the 'bus'.
LOL , so u believe this mass con trick of global warming/carbon emission link?
Whatever next Bird Flue?
Time for the thread to get back to its theme.
Hope you Get a full car of sweaty/muddy runners to transport to and fromthe Yorkshireman Emmilou good luck:)
Looks like there is a change of plan and I have managed to aquire the car from the other half.
So does anyone want a lift from the Leeds area?
I'm taking my car from Pudsey with my running partner. You are more than welcome to join us AJF. although we are doing the full and not the half so you might be sat around for a while if you are on the 1/2 ?
Cheers for the offer Denzil but I have come to an arrangement with Mrs AJF so I can get the car.
I can offer a lift from Leeds but note I am doing the full marathon and I could very possibly be a very long time? :)
So if you are slow and want a lift feel free to give me a shout.
I had map last time, difference is this time I know how to use it! :D
Annoying thing is I never got blisters before or after that race using all the same shoes, socks etc etc? Just that once?
Oh well It was a good learning experience.
will be all plastered up before I set off this time. Was gonna attach the pictures of the heels after I finished as they really are quite impressive.
Anyway to bring the thread back on topic.
Anyone fancy a lift Leeds to Yorkshireman and back? PM me if interested.
