Since posting the above information I regret to have to inform you that the race entry limit has been reached :( .

I'm joking of course.
Are you trying to start an international incident? I think we should have a poll to see if you should be thrown out the house (and it's not the weather for a trailer tent!)
This race is not yet full and if Fellrunner keeps mucking about it won't be!! However we've had a reasonable number of early bird entries mostly those well organised vets but some have had their senior moments.........
38.8 - Average age of entrants who correctly addressed their cheques to the organiser namely Martin Cortvriend who needs the dosh to pay for things up front!
53.5 - Average age of entrants who didn't read the details properly and incorrectly addressed their cheques!
A few of us are doing a recce tomorrow. We are starting from the car park/lay-by above Cilcain,
running up to Moel Famau to join the Llangynhafal Loop in the middle so doing the second half first.
Running back to the car afterwards should give us about 10 miles.
Could deliver my entry by hand if I knew exactly where your house was!:)
Successful recce this morning, no problems. I am glad the race goes up the gulley as it would take me all day to get down it. Hope it's not too congested on the day as I am hoping to pass a few on the climb!Quote:

Is the direct descent to the finish easy to navigate as the track seemed to meander a bit as well as being hard underfoot? My entry is in the post!

I was laying hedges at 11.20 Swoop. Track to the finish does wander left as it descends - there are some more direct (and softer) alternatives that cut the corner a little - you can see them more clearly from the bottom if that's any help!
You can cut the corner at the end, on the grassy path, but with it being a British champs Race i would think that the route to the finish will be marked, probably following the rocky path, less confusion and erosion
Where you talk of "confusion", I read "local knowledge" & "route choice", both necessary components of a good fell race.
As for the issue of sticking to the track to avoid any possible erosion, I'm sure that Martin is more aware than anyone else if this is necessary as the finish area is practically in his back garden.
Is this Race a Pre-entry only?
350 max
Anyone from the forum turning up for this next weekend?
Me and the rest of the family will be there (if I've got anything left after the 3 Peaks).
Myself and Mr Piglet are walking with friends in Snowdonia the day before and taking this in on the way back as it would be rude not to. Never done a female only start before though!!
Think my wife is running, but she still hasn't entered. I may come along but had a 53 miler this weekend so can't see me racing.

How did Benson feel about that. I wonder?
Am I missing something? In order to understand this would I have to watch a lot of TV?
Due to hedgelaying duties, bottlefeeding lambs and running up the mountain I only have time to watch sport ie footy, rugby and of course the excellent S4C coverage of the Snowdon race (in Welsh!)
I too remember the days when we were all on ciggies!
Hope to see you Sunday.... if it all fits together...
For visitors to the area for tomorrow's race:
Mobile speed cameras will be on the following roads
Today May 5th A525 Wrexham to Ruthin (between Llandegla and Llanfair DC)
Today May 5th A494 Mold to Ruthin ((between Llanferres and Ruthin)
Tomorrow May 6th Denbigh to Ruthin
There are also still some yellow and green Plaid Cymru election boards up which are yellow and green and can look a little bit like speed cameras!!
Good luck everyone!
I am cycling down (up?) to watch, so good luck to all!!
No.266 looks a bit handy  .
Don't worry. Looks like it's his first fell race!:) http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/athlete%3D20185/
Only 90 non vets in the males race?
Well done to all who ran today! Another great performance from Joe Symonds
Was amazed to see a couple of guys topless, I was bloody freezing standing watching!
Race went really smoothly, organisation was superb.
Thanks have to go to Martin for organising such a great event. Even the weather behaved itself!
So did Joe Symonds win it? Any other positions that you know?
Tim Davies (Mercia) was 2nd, Rob Hope (P&B) 3rd.
Ladies - 1. Jo Waites, 2. Anna Bartlett, 3. Fiona Maxwell (Mourne runners)
Superbly organised race. Weather was great for running. Few drops of rain for the prize giving.
The socklets and Mr Socks had a really good trip up to the jubilee tower. Great to have some cheerful encouragement up there! They nearly missed picking me up though. Couldn't get back up the lane because of all the cars coming down. After 4 reversings back down the hill 100 yards they gave up!
