Anyone know where I can get details of either a Tri/duathlons in the North of England?
I'm really after one where we can enter as a team late summer/autumn next year.
I'd prefer off road running

they are all listed on the british triathlon website. There is an events section.

Was talking to a chap called Dave Clamp at the gym this afternoon.
He recently came 5th in a Triple Triathlon in 41 hours. Did a Double the following week in 28 hours and is off to Mexico for a Deca in 3 weeks time. I assume that is about 24 miles swimming, over a thousand miles on the bike and finishing with a 262 mile run!
Swoop I went to watch the double in letchworth sometime back in july I think, saw Dave Clamp there, incredibly impressive stuff, even more so when we found out he'd done the triple a week before.
Tough tough and probably slightly mad group of people.
Cockerham (nr Lancster) is usually August Bank Holiday weekend. Shortish distances, about half on/off road.
October, Lafarge Helwith Bridge Duathlon.;)
Forgot about a charity one that I liked doing last year, The Rosemere Duathlon, 22nd March 5k/20k/5k on tarmac and starts/Finishes in Catforth, near Preston.
Did this last year and enjoyed it, even though I did get lost on the bike route :o
Met him again today out running. The race is next week in Monterrey. Article here
He has finished the swim and bike after 5 days! In third place and only a 262 mile run to go!!!

Only 50 behind the leader.
Remind me how far a K is?
He is now on for 2nd if he keeps up this pace.
Had a better night than me and no hangover either I bet:o
Oh dear, looks like the wheels are coming off. Incredible achievement though, I hope he doesn't bonk completely.
Doesn't look good.:(
See here.
Follow link and scroll down to Day 8.
No more updates yet :(
Hope he's ok
Just seen this thread for the first time. Hugely impressive stuff. Favourite bit though is the gossip on day 3!!!
Looks like he's back in the groove again.....sort of.
Why?
It is a really good blog on the BMT site. You can really feel his pain, and that of his team as well!
Completed 400K. Only 20K to go. Should finish in just over 300 hours altogether!

Well Done Dave Clamp:):):)
Well done indeed!! Christ 1 is hard enough let alone 10
What next? I'll ask him when I see him.:)
Well done that man, and Bolton won especially for him as well!;)
