I am thinking of getting a fellrunning-linked tattoo. Any suggestions?
how about a pic of a stile with a sadistic looking fell runner steaming over the top of it while breathing fire from his nostrils and supping an energy gel and there could be two fell walkers nearby looking rather perplexed?
How about one of Lola?
Ive always wondered, what is it actually like to get a tattoo....as in the pain.
Depends on what part of the body you have it, anyone who says it doesn't hurt is lying, remember my mate, who had a few, taking me for my first, and bragging 'It dunt hurt' He was sick half way through..............but blamed it on the beer the night before.
I just sat there smiling when i had mine:rolleyes:
Bearable pain, but it hurts, a bit like a fell race;)
How about: 'This way up'?
Not much of a line in fell running tattoos but Paul Booth is THE most talented tattoo artist out there. His genre is dark images, as can be seen on his web gallery:

Prepare to pay thousands and wait your turn.
Im of to loook at some tattoos tomorrow
One Hill Wonder is the expert on tattoos at the moment.. ;)
I have the names of all 42 Bob Graham peaks tattoed on my willy.
Roadrunner on my ankle. (Beep beep) Hurt more after, but then it is on the bone. Keep on thinking I'll get the completed version (Wylie Coyote in trainers on the other ankle) but never got round to it. Whats his face in Middleton is good as well. He did David Beckhams crucifix on his back, but hates people keep mentioning the artwork. It is on his wall and signed. ONly have to wait 3 weeks with him. :)
Simple set of studmarks........wherever you fancy? (Perhaps NOT on your summit!?)
Don't have one anywhere that goes REALLY saggy in old age.......if you can think of place that fits the criteria.
Judging by the avatar, Eric, it may be a kneecap or elbow job for thee!?
Can she cook as well?
In fact days :o
Just a moment 'Nob but a lad', I've only just seen that remark. Don't I have copyright or something on where my face ends up? And what would i wear?
.....erm..... not really no!
Been talking to a friend tonight about tattoo's and i remembered this thread.
Anyone though of any fell running related un'?
Got my 2nd done at a place called 'Jimmys' in Doncaster. Jimmy was an old Teddy Boy. Tattooed with a fag hanging out of his gob. His shop was right on the red light district.
Went to get it done one Sunday afternoon. His sign said open 1pm. When I got there, there were 3 other lads in front. Jimmy turned up at 2. I'd spent the last hour noticing that the time of day or the sabbath had no deterrant to the ladies working in the area. Ankle length leather coats, split up the back, with little if owt under.
Anyway the 3 lads all wanted eyeballs on each 'lower cheek'.
1st lad had plenty of tats already. He went in, trousers down, bend over. Jimmy got out the biro, quick sketch, started the gun, 5 mins later he's out.
2nd lad had a tat on show. He went in, trousers down, bend over. Jimmy got out the biro, quick sketch, started the tattoo iron, 5 mins later he's out.
3rd lad. Looks like a tattoo virgin. He went in, trousers down, bend over. Jimmy got out the biro, quick ketch, started the gun, 5 seconds later we all heard "Jesus Christ! You lying Bastards!!!":D
Don't know if he ever got it finished, but not that day
Yep it hurts, but its bearable and strangely addictive.
