What a bargain...unfortunately I don't live anywhere near a netto, but if some kind soul were to buy two (one for them and a spare) I'd be very happy to reimburse them for the spare. Please send a private message if you could do this.
Cheers - Raymond
Just spent £42 on a myo xp today!
You'll not regret it. They are brilliant.:)Quote:

Sorry guys but it may not seem a bargain when you find yourself stranded in the middle of no where with a failing head torch.
But then who Knows it may be a good buy.
£1.99? - I hope you get batteries with it!!!!!
£1.99 think I'll stick to running with the Myo XP.
I believe in you get what you pay for.
Logging in on page 3 of current offers all I can see are offers on Persil, Tetleys teabags and other food lines
No headlamp on any of the 4 pages
I was looking around at the other bats on Tuesday night and almost everyone had something by Petzl. I think most people feel that a Petzl lamp is likely to be more reliable than most so it's worth spending the extra.
I have a Duo and it really is a well-made piece of kit. When you are up on Cross Fell or Scafell Pike and it's blowing a hooly and pitch black, it's a nice feeling to know that your headtorch is unlikely to blink out at any minute.
Mind you, I always have the trusty Tikka in the bumbag - just in case :D
mmmm thats some mighty fine nickers...and only £2.99 a pack. i''d look great in those and i bet they feel reeeeal good!
I should be getting a myo xp in the post today! I can't wait to get home and have a go with it ..... excited over a head torch..... what's happening to me? :D
welcome to the dark side sarah
First run with my new Myo XP tonight and I'm quite impressed. It's much brighter than my old Ring Cybalite and I didn't use it in full power mode. Superb night for a run too :).
not too sure about that blizzard earlier thought about the 2nd run but had another J2O instead
Quick one lads and lass's!
A bit daft I know as the clock are changing soon.....:D
But Tikka XP or Myo XP
Is the myo worth the extra 10 notes???
The Myo XP is only £36.90 (plus a bit of postage) at Simply Hike
cheers!:D
Thats that decided then!
prices I was looking at were on wiggle!
Myo, good choice, used it all this winter. All you need, gives good allround vis.
I use a tikka xp as a spare for my Myo xp :)
Bill
Definately Myo XP. Has done me proud over the Howgills all winter.
I don't have direct experience of the Myo XP but I find the beam on my Tikka XP is too narrow without the diffuser and too weak with it. I thought about trying a Myo XP but a friend tried one and said it had the same problem as the Tikka XP.
In the end, I upgraded my old Duo to 14 LEDs and that's brilliant. It gives a nice broad beam, not super-long range but perfect intensity where you need it (in the 3m to 10m range). I rarely use the 'max' setting, finding the 'optimum' setting just about ideal.
Trouble is, to buy a Duo with the 14 LED module is about £75 so much dearer than a Myo XP. :o
Well the Myo got its first run out last night!
Cracking as far as I'm concerned!:D
Shame the clocks are going in 3 weeks.......
Good to see you last night calf, same again next wednesday?
I'm after buying a new headtorch, needed for Bob Graham support.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Myo xp (I think that's what its called) seems a very popular choice. Certainly pleased with mine. 40-50 quid I think.
i got a princeton tec apex of ebay from usa, cost about £40 totally and is very good, really suprised when used it, a lot better than my petzl myo
Thanks lads. Do the batteries last a while and have they got a good beam?
I'm very pleased with my Myo XP too. When I was looking at these last winter I found the Petzl range a bit confusing but the Myo XP was very different and much more powerful than others in the Myo range at the time. I got mine from Simply Hike.
just completed an adventure race at the weekend and the first stage was a score event from midnight till daylight around and over ingleborough. As it was pitch black, chucking it down and the fog set in my petzl zipka really was not enough to do anything apart from light the floor 1 metre in front of me. Needless to say I got lost.
How is the beam on the Myo XP? Can it be good for navigation in terrible weather or just for running over familiar terrain?
I heard the princeton tec apex is a great comparison to the Myo along with the Silva L1. Has anyone tried these as well?
Sorry to slightly hijack kinda same topic :-)
Myo Xp for me, Was a bit worried when I bought it as it was very expensive (I thought) Still on original batteries, Used it on the Night section on my recent BG attempt in thick clag and heavy rain, use it for other night runs and for MR work.
It has different strength spot beams and a diffuser for general work. Also has a boost button for extra light for short periods.
Can't fault it, brilliant.

Agree re the Myo XP,
I use it all the time. I used it for my ML night nav which is quite tricky so you want a good torch.
I've got no complaints and at the price I think it's hard to beat, however the S1 ata bit more is excellent, any Myo XP runner who has ran next to someone with an S1 will have seen the difference, but that is not to say the Myo XP isn't suitable for night running or night nav work.
