Honesty being the best policy, I'm on the hunt for the owner of a Garmin Forerunner. I found one while out today. I won't say where, apart from the fact that it wasn't on a road, you can tell me whereabouts if it's yours (along with the model and some data perhaps?). The data suggests it is a runner's. Chances of it being owned by a regular forum visitor are slim, but you never know. Maybe you know someone has been sitting in the corner of the pub crying for a few days, but didn't know why.

I had mine stolen from Glenridding Travellers Rest in 2007 along with a waterproof map and running shades. Grrrrrr - pesky dishonest people.
Got another now so if its a 305 and you end up keeping it i can help with the instruction booklet, chargers, CD, etc etc.
Aww Sapper, a friend of mine lost his mobile on a bus, and someone very nicely handed it in for him, so there are a few nice people in this world, just nice to know you are also one of them! x
Maybe some would have thought "oh, lucky me, I just got a Forerunner". But I figure, if I can find out whose it is and get it back to them, they'll probably be pretty happy and I'll feel good for a bit about that. If not, then, well I'll be the owner of a Forerunner, but without any pang of guilt every time I look at it. I try and keep technology out of my running though (given that it's in every other part of my life), so I'd be happier with the former option.Quote:

I can tell you from experience that they'll be pretty happy about having it returned.
I lost my forerunner on the Belvoir Challenge 2007, after falling over twice on a steep and very muddy descent and didn't notice it had gone.
I couldn't believe my luck when the event organisers posted it back to me a week later.
I never did find out who found it, it wasn't you was it?:)

Just think he is probably still up there roaming around, might have even fell in a bog...
Sapper - you could always download the contents and look to see where most of the runs start from - most likely to be home or work.
Ok...now I know quite a lot about our lost runner. Without revealing everything..
