We require another memebre for our team. we are all 40ish and are a running team although we expect to run/walk as gravity takes over.

Just looked at what this race is. It's madness!!!!!!
I wish I could. I went for a 1 mile jog around the golf course last night. First time I've run at all since Mickleden Straddle. Bruised ankle is still very sore.Quote:

Simon, we were in the exact position last year when a member of ours dropped out at the last minute. You have my sympathy. We entered again this year but didnt get selected. Although I did ask the HPM committee to put me on the 'standin' list. However, I dont feel I've got the race in me now. Having not been selected originally we turned our minds off from this race and focussed on other things. Thinking about it now fills me with dread. You have our best wishes and I hope the bogs of Bleaklow arent too bad !!Quote:

This is a real last minute vacany - Team "THE WELSH CONNECTION" - expected time 12 to 13 hours - we've recc'd it all recently so hoping we don't have to miss out. Go on - you know you really want to do it and only 30 hours now to worry about it.

What a great event! Well done Luv Shack. The boggy stretch through the night was hard work, my feet and hands were frozen. The snow brightened everything up a bit, felt like I was running across big sand dunes. I think the first hill I saw through the whole event was the last descent as the clouds lifted.
:D sounds good, well kind of in a warped way of course!
