I've not done it yet but apparently it's a good race in that the route is lined with spectators and people cheering you on and like Calf says the post race gathering will make it all worthwhile:D :D
Its only 3.25 in total so 1.75 of that is going up hill.
Its more of a social thing, plus your a one hill wonder so won't have any probs!

Pendle is a much nicer course. This is the first time I can recall the races clashing. Pendle is usually on the first Saturday in April and Rivington is on Easter Saturday but I'm sure that in the past Pendle has been moved back a week if the two dates have clashed.Quote:
