Wassit like, then?
Not sure. It was so cold and wet last year and I ran the last few miles in the dark.
Will have to run faster this time!
Just remembered the stiles were a problem, runners trying to cross both ways as it was out and back.
Here is a Summary
Oh just remembered, Im doing this one its the first in our Dashers Fell Championship. Expect a few yellow vests.
Beware fellow Dashers, Kiwi has gone home, and I can talk a good race.
I will do this race since i not done it in 2 years and it is the first race in the challenge between me an pengy
I don't think I will be any faster than last year so I'll get myself a headtorch!
just like last year, it will be no entry fee, no prizes (although last year everybody got a creme egg), to celebrate the first nearly light evening. The start has been moved forward so Swoop doesn't finish in the dark.
The course is up a steep hill, run through lots of moor top fields to the top of Liver hill, then turn around and run back the way you came.
There's a number of junior races, and everybody meets in the club house for pie and peas. I'd say the atmosphere is as good as any race I've been in. Hope to see you all there.
Do we pay for the pie and peas, or is that part of the 0 entry fee :D
Ee, what's he like?? We'll have a whip round for ya if you like, Jamie. :)
Thanks Fishbulb,
Good Luck on Sunday ;)
I have heard rumors that this could be Joliver J first race :D :D
and a few more i also wonder if Danbert will show his face this year as he was a no show last year
Who's up for Liver Hill next Tuesday? The first evening race of the season. Cost? Nowt (you won't get a prize either, but you will get a creme egg :))
Also the first race of the inter club Grand Prix, so all to run for. Races for U14s, and the over 14s mix it with the seniors (and normally beat most of us)
We'll all be there! Kiddies doing the Juniors and Chris doing the grown up thing. Hope it's not pouring down like last year!!
Forecast promises sunshine. Really, it does! No water wings (or skies) required this year.
I should hopefully be at this one. Finally get a race in this year.
Looking forward to this, first race of the year!
Should be few over from Darwen as its the first race in the club championship.
We should be there, and several Calder Valley juniors as well - since its in the inaugural CVFR junior championships.
I won't be running unfortunately :( - I've been laid low by a virus for weeks now, but hopefully the better half will be running. :)
I possibly definately there, if the wind is blowing in the right direction and the course is drier than the cross country course!!;)
It's a few years since I did this one. From memory there are about 22 stiles to overcome ~ 11 on the way out ~ 11 on the way back. I saw the guy who won it that year vaulting most of them on the way back !
I'll see if my hamstrings are in good shape and if so I might give it a go this year.
Hopefully, nice and refreshed after Wilmslow.
Not done this in 2 Years but will be running this one
How about a forum meet up and a forum challene since there is loads running?
JJ you dont need to sit in the car because we need a hare for the U14s and i have put your name forward :D
You definately running rabbit or swigging lager down your cake hole like tonight. U fprgot vera hirst 5k lazy boy.
Ooo didn't know about this but think I might give it a go!
Better than running round the track in circles!
