Me, for one. In the A race. I thought we'd entered B. Too keen that partner of mine...
I've never run (or even walked) in that area, so it should be interesting. I imagine there'll be few rocks & few paths & a lot of tussocks. As opposed to the lot of pillocks trying to run across them.
Me and the little fella are in the B class.
Good pubs in Builth Wells:D
Im not that little ! and your not big enough to come and have ago at the yorkshireman...
Class A for me. So where will the courses be, and where will the overnight camp be????
not what your missus says owmeknee!!! mind you when i am there for comparison......:)
me and charles in elite for some daft reason....
see you at club.
I am A.N. Other in the medium score, as I have as of yet not decided if I will join my OMM partner or not this year... Injured myself badly last year, took me 6 months to be able to run again... and I have Everest Marathon to look forward to in December, so still not sure
Long score for us. Looking forward to this, nce to go somewhere new.
B class for me. Boo, its not in the Rhinogs!! Still Elan Valley is pretty and closer to home.
B Class for me and Moth. Check out the Elan Valley website and look at annual rainfall ! Looks lik eit could be another wet one !!!
go on miyagi!!!
getting some long training runs in mate!!! you doing full yorkie?!?!? fancy a recce some time soon?
couple of shandies will do for you owmeknee!
i dont mind getting them in
What - Elan Valleys?
They can't have an event over the Elenith without me being invited, I'm a local .
Local guide for hire, knows all sheep trods and 'shortcuts', will work for beer ;).
If the visibilty is down to ten metres, and you haven't a scooby where you are, it doesn't matter how local you are!!:D
That is it Moley, you are on :)
If you happen to get a late entry... and there's space in the tent...
  !!!!!!!!
Of course... been dreaming of such a chance for years, me, The Missus and a million sheep... what more could a red-blooded male ask for!
I should warn you, that since the "car problem" Missus has developed the habit of rolling over in the middle of the night, grabbing a handbrake  and giving it a good hard yank.
Ouch  .
:D:D:D
Brillant Mr Mole.
Now then, I have a proposition for you. I take it you are intimate terms with the terrain we shall be cuddling up to this October? If you promise not to tell anyone, could I tuck you into my rucsac so you can give me constant navigation? I'll feed you carrots so you can keep it up on the night stages!
That came as a shock! I'm in on the medium score as a vets team but I'm only 30:confused: Since found out that the total age of the team is used:D
just got our envelope! not done the omm before and was just wondering what sleeping bags others use. normally use the rab topbag for lamm/saunders but the kit list states 3 season. i was planning on bringing a down jacket for extra warmth, is this 'within the rules' or do need to get a new bag?
the kit list on the website just says 'sleeping bag', have you received more specific instructions?
I did the KIMM (as it was) several years ago with the Rab Top Bag and a North Face down vest; this worked fine. had to wear everything else as well though (hat, gloves etc!)
Shame if they insist on 3 season; it'll be warm enough, but many will ditch the down vest/jacket instead, so people will be forecd to go to bed early or get v cold on sat evening.
The info pack states 3 season. Bit of discussion going on on the OMM forum about this.
andy a-yeh, we received a booklet yesterday with rules and a separate kit list. do they normally send out such detailed info or is it a result of last year? just wondering as i've not done the omm before.
skennaugh-thanks for the info will have a look over there :)
