Le tour
So it's upon us and there hasn't been any real talk about it thus far. So it's poll time. Who's going to take the win? Have the Schlecks got what it takes this year, is Contador done after such a dominant Giro, is Wiggins going to put a smile on our face, and will Evans just behave like a baby as usual?
Poll should probably have said who will come second, as that would probably be more interesting. Anyway list your top 3 riders in your post.
1) Contador - :(
2) A. Schleck -
3) Gesink

Re: Le tour
Contador for me. He looked so strong at the end of the Giro that I don't think recovery will be a major problem. Even if it is, Andy Shleck hasn't done much to suggest that he can put up a major challenge this year. Maybe he's just peaking at the right time, but he hasn't looked good in his last couple of races.
I'm kind of interested to see what Sky's tactics will be. Obviously they'll be riding for Wiggins, but will they have a go for some of the sprints with Swift or Boesen-Hagen, if only to show Cav that they can put together a lead-out?

Re: Le tour
Geraint Thomas in yellow tommorrow?
Cavendish didnt look to sharp in the intermediate sprint.
What a shame Contador got delayed by the crash and lost 1.20 :) What goes around comes around

Re: Le tour
Hoping that Contador has lost a bit of his zip after dominating the Giro and that Andy Schleck will be able to do a number on him in the mountains. In AS's favour is the shortish individual TT at the end, this is my heart speaking however. Sadly I suspect that despite everything Contador will prove to have too much and only CAS can take it away from him. So:
Contador, Schleck A and then Gesink. Wiggins top 10, top 5 if he has a good one.
What I am really looking forward to is Phillipe Gilbert putting the prima donna sprinters in their place on the up hill finishes as he has done once so far, there are a couple more similar opportunities I think:thumbup:

Re: Le tour
I'm still gutted Sagan isn't riding. I agree with you Toffer on we haven't seen the last of Gilbert in this tour. I certainly wouldn't count Contador out at this early stage despite his current losses. If he's firing on all cylinders 9 days in the mountains could easily see that brought back.
