cycling accident solicitors

has anyone been knocked of their bike and used a solicitor for compensation? any recommendations? last week a lad pulled out of a junction as I was going down a road. I locked on and managed to hit the rear of his car and over I went. week in hospital, three of those bedridden as they thought I had fractured my vertebrae. I ve two fractured ribs. the lad admitted to both me and the police what he had done. definitely his fault. are those in the back of cycling weekly any good? I think id rather go with someone experience of cycling accidents than my unions solicitor. any ideas? thanks
