Re: Joss Naylor Challenge
good luck- we will look out for you as we do SLMM.
I still have a ghost to lay with JNC after being rained and blown off it at end of May- perhaps I will be fiot enough and weather kind enough later this year.
\Hope the weather gods are kind and that you have a great day
Re: Joss Naylor Challenge
Yes - good luck. I was also blown of the hill with Karen at the end of May. I'm planning another attempt on Friday 22 July - the only date that works before my family holiday. See you at the weekend Karen.
Re: Joss Naylor Challenge
Good weather forecast, suntan cream needed instead of waterprooofs. I will be waiting for you at Sty Head.

Some pics from Graham's Leg 3 here. Those cramping muscle spams of yours will be giving me nightmares for a while. It was like a scene from Alien .

Well done  Ooooo cramping muscle spasms
The link it broken on the first post by the way, it is trying to log in to your personal account, rather than the page we have to go to to donate.

Re: Joss Naylor Challenge
Hope nobody minds a bit of hijacking/continuation of the thread... I assume Graham succeeded at the weekend, so congratulations Graham if that's right.
I'm intending to make my 2nd attempt on Friday 22nd July, aiming at a 15-hour target, starting at 5. I've got 2 pacers lined up, one for Pooley Bridge to Dunmail and the other for Dunmail to Greendale. If anyone else fancies a run out we'd be very happy for you to join us for all or part of the way, as it reduces the risk from a pacer in trouble, and also makes for a more sociable event. No carrying or navigation duties - you just need to be able to get yourself off the hill without assistance if need be. I've just been training for 2 days in the Langdale area...
Re: Joss Naylor Challenge
What a day out that was! Perfect conditions, not a drop of rain, and only a little hill fog on Hart Crag & Fairfield. Many thanks to all who helped: Chris, Bryan, Julian, Peter, Peter's wife Sheila, Alan. All so supportive, & it made such a difference over the last few fells when I was barely capable of talking or thinking. I finished in 13:56 against a target for elderly gentlemen such as myself of 15 hours, so I'm very happy indeed with that. And a pint of tea from Joss at the end. I'd never met him before - what a nice guy he is. More details will appear on the Helsby Running Club blog once I've recovered enough to write them.

Congratulations. Post the link when you get your energy back.
