I went up today, managed to get 1 and half hours with a 9.5 mile out & back from British Camp car park over the tops and then over and round the back of North Hill and return.
Was a picture postcard day, clear blue skies, lush on the southern slopes, frosty on the north-facing.
Nice route and those hills keep coming at you.
Legs were very heavy from weekend but was a great way to spend an afternoon - thanks for the advice, worked v well.

I was to the south of British Camp about 10:30. Lovely and frosty still with a lot of cloud down in the valleys with blue skies above.
Nice, isn't it

This post reminded me I hadn't been for a while so popped down to Malvern early yesterday. Parked in West Malvern and then did North Hill to British Camp via the ridge line and then a circuitous route back taking in a few steep climbs up and over the ridge which I reckon was 9 miles and 2000ft. A beautiful clear sunny day - cold and more than a tad breezy on Worcestershire beacon! Really enjoyed it.

I've been working in Malvern for last week or so and have had the pleasure of running up and around the Malvern hills in the evenings. So far managed combinations of steep snaps, long trail sections on both grass and tracks from 35mins to an hour and thoroughly enjoyed them. I haven't felt so guilty about going through the list of 15 real ales in the Nag's Head after a run...... :-)

And, even more importantly, is the only word that rhymes with orange......
All very nice, rugged little hills though!

I'm in Cardiff tomorrow, so managed to fit a 2 hour run across the Malverns on the way down, and stayin overnight in Abergavenny and all set for a quick dart up The Blorenge early morning. Quite a good little fell running tour around work this week - got Hathersage Gala race in yesterday evening too.

I will be entering the Worcestershire Beacon race this year.
October 8th @3:00pm - 7 miles with approximately 1000ft of ascent. (I think that actually makes it a BM cat fell race by my calculations.)
