Is this enigmatic statement a crossword clue or are you planning a Fellsman recce? No good at the former but if the latter could be interested. When were you thinking of?

Hmm, post-Skyline, pre-MMM - I could be in danger of overdoing it but the April dates could be a goer. I'll keep an eye on the forum (and try to listen to my creaking body)
i think i can make it on the sat 14 march, cant do the sun as working or the april dates as on hol
Sat 4th April seems favourite at the moment.

Reconnoitres are never as fast as the real event, and on the Fellsman terrain they may be even slower. I would expect a walk-jog speed - jog whenever the terrain allows.

Fleet Moss onwards sounds good to me. The preceding section up to and down from Dodd Fell would have been good as well but I think that would be too much to fit into one day. Doing from Fleet Moss onwards is already pushing it to the max, in my opinion.

Anyone any guidance on Harvey v OS map for this event?
Harveys definitely, I suppose its personal preference really but I just find them easier to read on the move and there is enough detail, plus its easier to see the shape of the land. I did struggle to get one of the maps you need for the Fellsman last year from Harveys so jusy make sure you order early enough
So 4th April from Fleet Moss, this sounds Ok to me at the moment.
Providing nothing else crops up I'll be there
I would like to do Dodd Fell as well and fnish at the car in Grassington but as you say that would be a long day....its in my diary so let me know re arrangements nearer the time..Quote:

I was up for the recce on the 4th but my foot is still suffering from the Edale Skyline and last night's jaunt around Kinder hasn't done anything but aggravate it so I'm dropping out. Enjoy the weather!
