I usually leave work early on a Friday and go for a run over my local hills on the way home. Managed 10km tonight without a head torch and still light at 5.00 when I got back to the car. 12 degrees C (and I know it won't last) but a least a taste of warmer, lighter times to come.

The S.O. and I were at a local garden centre this morning when 3 skeins of very vocal geese flew over .... heading NW.
-
Pink footed geese moving feeding grounds ‘mid-winter’. One of the great wildlife sights Ian! The lads who watch the skies regularly round Queensbury had 2,000 + the other morning

Still cold and snow to come.

A lone daffodil at a remote derelict farmhouse.
-
Nice morning but hell of a wind chill factor.

F F F F Freezing! But, like Moley, I was lucky enough to see the first shoots of the daffodils pushing their way towards the sun. Unfortunately not in the same Byronic location as Mr Mole but in the rather more prosaic environs of our local rugby pitches!

My daffodil was out in full bloom, ready to kick start Wales 6 nations campaign on Friday. I may have to pick it and take down the pub for kick-off.
