Here's hoping CP.6 - High Snockrigg (dubbed 'Pointless Pike') is included - A completely irrelevant diversion. Fantastic. :D

Apart from the course looking ace :D I think the introduction of a new race with entry qualifications needs careful handling both from an entrant's point of view and for administration purposes.
I think the 2 x AL (with one being a Lakeland Classic) in the past year is OK for following years but to get people on the ladder, as it were, relaxing it to two years is sensible for the first running of the race. Maybe something along the lines of the Yorkshire 3 peaks entry quals. It all depends on how vigilant you intend to be in vetting entries - with no central repository of race results it could be a long job checking all runners' claims.
Re: Teenager with Altitude
Teenager with Altitude : 15.4 miles, 7400ft of ascent. Start at NY 233212.
High Snockrigg is a great little hill with good views to the west. It certainly is not pointless.
There will be a route preview by Wynn in the next Fellrunner if not before.

Must have perfect lines with those stats Yiannis. Well done for coming up with such a classic enjoyable route :)

The High Snockrigg checkpoint will certainly stop runners trying to cross the Moss Force ravine between Newlands Hause and Robinson.

I only did the Ennerdale last year so that would exclude me as well
We could always do it next week as a bat run Trundler :D
