Re: Today's dog encounter
Hey, thats a good sounding posse!:D Only passed one pooch on my run today...a rather elderly and snappy looking collie who was soon mollified by the usual proffered back of hand and a quiet 'good dog'. A quick sniff and the mutt turned away, totally bored!

Not sure it's boredom that made him turn away:D
Re: Today's dog encounter
Zac, the working collie at the farm over the road did his usual barking at the end of his chain as I went past his yard. If I say hello he stops his noise and wags his tail. Not sure I'd put my hand anywhere near him though.
The other dogs today were two springers, one of which decided he'd like to run with me, until he couldn't see his owner and ran back in a panic. The other didn't take any notice as he was busy eating cow s**t.
More bothered by the young bulls in the woods who have taken to running towards me whenever they see me. I think they're mistaking me for the farmer who leaves the hay bales for them, but you never know!

Or maybe i look like a bone or a stick.
One of them even let me pick him up and throw him over a barbed wire stile.
The other one jumped it himself and caught his foot on the barbed wire.
