It is on your England Athletics competition licence - if you have one.
Cheers Mike, but no I don't have one of those as far as I'm aware! Does this have any implications as far as me entering a race goes?
If your club (K&C) had registered you on the England Athletics Database with your correct contact details you should have received your membership card/competition licence through the post - mine arrived last week but we as a club were pretty close to the end of June deadline for registering our runners (as club secretary that was down to myself along with tardy members when paying annual subs).
It's worth checking with your club secretary/membership secretary as they have access to the club members section on the EA portal and can find out your number that way, if indeed you have been registered. Otherwise if you haven't been registered you can run the race as an unregistered/unaffiliated runner but would have to pay the full whack.
Yes, you need to check with your club. Some clubs register all members automatically but some now only register members who definitely want to run in UKA sanctioned races - the club has to pay for the registration so there's no point registering people who will never race, so being a member of a club doesn't guarantee you're registered with UKA, though I would have expected the club to make that clear.
As said above, you can still race but you have to pay the £2 "unregistered" levy.
Some clubs are taking the £5 registration from the athlete and then not registering them on the database
That way the club gains an extra £5 per annum per member
Ah, I see. It's Rombalds romp, which isn't run under the FRA set-up, so that's probably why it's got this UKA thing with it? I will ask at the next club night...
My UKA card came today, finally! Took long enough, I paid my subs in March I think
Got it, entry form going off tomorrow!
Clubs are supposed to send all the registration off in June I think , so they can send all together rather than on the drip as the membership fees come in. That means the cards come out shortly afterwards.
We got ours at BBH towards the end of June.
If the club sent late, the cards will come late.
