At the moment there are only details and results of last years race here.
I've been running this course in training can anyone confirm that this is the right route.
Route Map from Macclesfield Harriers website
Has anyone done this before and can tell me what the car parking situation is?
Thanks.
Re: NEWSAR Clwydian Fell Race
Yup, that's the route I've ran for the last 2 years....give or take a corner ;) .
Registration has been at the village hall opposite the church. Parking is wherever you can find it, but as ever, best to show a bit of consideration to the locals.

We had a discussion last year about the left and right turn after CP5. I found a nice trod on a recce but then on the day Lloyd cut the corner and took most of the field with him. I didn't take a chance and used the trod.
There is some parking at the school.

Lloyd was off on a race of his own, the field where nowhere near him. I'd already beaten him once that year :D .

What I meant to say was that most of the field went the same way.

Was that when he tried to turn the Boars Head race into the Tour of Disley?;)
Re: NEWSAR Clwydian Fell Race
Has the route changed in the last few years. Sure we used to head through fields and the forest, then up and down Foel Fenlli?
Re: NEWSAR Clwydian Fell Race
Yeah, it's changed quite a bit, this may have been done to avoid road crossings. No Foel Fenlli anymore, but you've still got the gully.
Re: NEWSAR Clwydian Fell Race
I take it you have to go back through checkpoint 1 once you've been over the top of Moel Famau?
